Like Duolingo,
but for coding.
If you've ever kept a language streak going, you already know how Codiqo works. Short lessons, a daily streak, XP and weekly leagues, with Pebble the penguin cheering you on. The difference: you're learning Python, JavaScript, C, C++, Java and C#.

What feels familiar
Five-minute lessons
One idea at a time, explained with an example, then a question about it straight away.
Streaks and freezes
Learn every day to grow your streak. A streak freeze covers the odd day you miss.
XP and weekly leagues
Earn XP for every lesson and climb a league of up to 15 learners each week.
A mascot who cares
Pebble celebrates every lesson and can be dressed up from the shop. Terry, your mentor, gives hints when you're stuck.
What's built for code
| Real programs | Every lesson ends with a short program you write yourself. It runs for real in a sandbox and is checked with tests, including some you can't see. |
|---|---|
| Real outputs | Every example and expected output in the lessons came from running the real code. C, C++, Java and C# examples compile with warnings treated as errors. |
| Mistakes are free | Wrong answers never cost anything. You get a hint, try again, and see a full explanation. Questions you missed come back at the end of the lesson. |
| Practice that adapts | Every idea you learn has a strength from 0 to 5. Practice sessions bring back what you've found tricky, spaced out over days. |
| Six complete courses | Python, JavaScript, C, C++, Java and C#: 60 lessons each, from your first line to a final project. |

Is there a Duolingo for coding?
Codiqo works the way Duolingo does, but for programming: short daily lessons, streaks, XP, weekly leagues and a penguin mascot. It teaches Python, JavaScript, C, C++, Java and C#, free.
Does Duolingo teach coding?
Duolingo teaches languages, music, maths and chess. Codiqo is a separate app, not made by Duolingo, built for learning to code in the same bite-size style.
Can you really learn to code in five minutes a day?
Five minutes a day won't make you an expert overnight, but it builds a habit, and habits are what get people through a whole course. Each Codiqo lesson teaches one idea and has you use it straight away.
Is it just multiple choice?
No. You predict output, fix bugs, fill gaps, put lines in order, and every lesson ends with a short program you type yourself. We run it for real and check it with tests.
Duolingo is a trademark of Duolingo, Inc. Codiqo is an independent app and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Duolingo.
